We’ve got great news! We’ll be open for the summer from this Saturday, 1st July, 2023.
But, due to the lack of fruit (thanks to our weather conditions over the winter and spring – see Tom’s full fruit update) we have some important changes to our opening days and times. Read on for details and our fruit prices for this year.
Opening days and times:
Monday: Closed
Tuesday: Closed
Wednesday: Closed
Thursday: Closed
Friday: 10am-6pm
Saturday: 10am-6pm
Sunday: 10am-6pm
Fruit prices:
- Strawberries: £5 /kg – poor crop due to wet weather over winter and spring
- Cherries: £7.20 /kg – very few ready now. Best to come late July for cherries.
- Blackberries/tayberries: £6.50 /kg – perfect for picking.
- Gooseberries: £5 /kg – perfect for picking.
- Rhubarb: £3.50 /kg – always ready and waiting!
As previously mentioned, we have a bad crop of strawberries and cherries this year thanks to a wet winter and summer. Read Tom’s full fruit update to learn more.
Car-parking: 2 hours max
To ensure that everyone is able to come and enjoy the farm during busy periods, we ask that you keep your visit to two hours or less.
This only applies for those parking – those cycling, walking or bussing it here are welcome to stay as long as you want! Enjoy your picking!
Picnics
Please use the specified picnic area. Please do not picnic amongst the fruit.
No Dogs
While we love dogs, our fruit does not! During the picking season please do not bring your dog to the farm.
Hi Tom
So sorry to hear about your fruit woes this year.
We were planning to come this Saturday (July 8) with Alice, aged 4. Will there be anything for her to pick?
Maybe we should wait a few weeks?
all the best
Sue
Hi Sue, we hope you came and had a lovely time. Hope to see you again soon!
Hi, we are planning to go by bus. Is this walkable from The Bell.
Please let me know.
Thank you.
Yes, it’s about a 10-15 minute walk from The Bell!
