Despite the rain our strawberries are pretty amazing for the time of year. We have some ripening each day but only small amounts.
Plum wise, late Victorias and guinivere continue but the star plum is now the Tophit, of which there are plenty – and our damsons are also still going strong.
We have lots of our delicious Estival apples, and our Bramleys are very easy picking.
Cobnuts are a slower pick but the quality is great this year.
And not forgetting the humble blackberry! Ours are bigger than on the wild hedgerow and, we think, even tastier – perfect for adding into that apple crumble.
